Well, lovies it’s cold outside! It can prove to be challenging when trying to create a date night look when the temps are downright frigid. In my opinion, you can absolutely leave some of the extra layers of clothing at home, unless you have outside activities on your agenda. Otherwise; if you’re going from a Uber to your destination brave the elements and go light on the layers.
Flowy dresses
Short and flowy dresses are always perfect for date night. They are flirty and romantic. During the winter months you can add thick tights or leggings to help stay warm. Don’t get me wrong; I am not a fan of sacrificing comfort/warmth for fashion…but since you’re already flaunting your fab legs throw on a pair of OTK boots. While casual snow boots would be comfortable they don’t contribute much to your overall look.
No puffy coats
Ditch the frumpy puffy coat for a sleek and figure flattering coat. A luxe winter coat can add sophistication to your ‘fit. I’ll stress this again – unless there’s an outdoor activity included in your plans there’s no need for a bulky look. Looking like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man doesn’t exactly scream date night.
Top it off with a hat
A wide brim hat is the perfect accoutrement to your date night look. Normally when I wear a hat it is to disguise a bad hair day; but a hat can be the final touch to a look. I wouldn’t advise you to wear it all night but it can help you make a grand entrance.
What are some of your go to date night looks for winter?
What I’m Wearing:
Boho style dress (Macy’s)
White overcoat (H&M)
Wide brim hat (Nordstrom)
OTK boots (ShoeDazzle)
Love your coat! 😍
